Kuri Nuki, or "carving out" is a Japanese clay technique where one starts with a block of clay and and removes the clay until the desired vessel emerges. The technique is part skill and part intuition, letting the clay speak to the creator to arrive at the final object. Join Ginny to explore this interesting approach to clay making.
