Artist's tour
Indian River Clay is implementing a new program which will provide field trips to artist’s studios, clay studios, museums, etc. The first Artist's Tour will be Anita Prentice. Attendees will meet at Anita’s studio in Historic Casa Caprona to look at materials, tools and some works in process. Then on to four Highwaymen grave-sites that Anita has adorned with copies of the deceased’s artwork. Next is the mural of Royal Poinciana tree honoring all 26 Highwaymen at the intermodal bus station and a stop at old city hall to view a collaborative installation by Anita and Ginny Piech Street. Last is a trip over the bridge to Jetty Park where there are 16 benches with fish from our waters and 2 memorial benches. Afterwards participants can choose one of three restaurants to have lunch: Taco Dive, Hurricane Grill and Rhum Cay.
