Intermediate Wheel with Maria Sparsis | Thursday, March 25th, 6-9pm
This class is intended to build on and expand existing throwing skills. We will work on throwing and altering to make square dishes, oval casseroles, darted mugs, pitchers. Throwing handles. Putting two or more thrown pieces together to create stemware, vases, teapots and larger forms. Throwing more complex shapes, like juicers, chips and dips, birdhouses, saltpigs and banks. Throwing closed forms to use for sculpture. 6 weeks. Must be able to center consistently and make cylinders and bowls. Must be able to center clay consistently, and throw cylinders and bowls.
Pre-Registration is required.
