Introduction to Handbuilding
In this class we will get to know clay! Starting with the basics we will begin with pinch pot bowls week one, coil cups week two, slab work plate week three and introduction to glazing week four. In the end we will have three unique and functional pieces to show off to friends and family!

Materials Fee: $30 bag of clay (cash or check)
Class Dates: Wednesdays, March 22, 29 & April 5, 12
Time: 10am - 1pm
Length of Class: 4 sessions/3 hours each/1 day per week
Clay Skills To Be Learned: We will learn how to create bowls with the pinch method, cups/mugs with the coil method, a plate with the slab method. We will wrap up the class with an introduction to glazing.
Materials To Bring: You may want to buy a tool kit, Tina recommends an 8 Piece Pottery Tool Kit which can be found at Michaels, Amazon, Axner Pottery Supply. But we also have tools available for your use in the studio.
