Terrific Teapots
Making functional teapots on the pottery wheel is an adventure. There are four components that need to function both aesthetically and practically: the body, the lid, the spout and the handle. Each part must serve its intended purpose as well as enhance the design. The spout can’t drip. The handle needs to be able to lift the body effortlessly and comfortably, and the lid can’t fall off when pouring so two hands are not needed. All these important details will be explored in this lively workshop with master potter Nancy Blair. Participants will be encouraged to explore their unique “voice” throughout the creative and decorating process.
