Kurinuki
Kurinuki in Japanese means “to hollow” and it is a traditional Japanese technique that consists in starting with a solid block of clay, and hollowing it out to create a pot. In this three hour class Ginny will walk you through the technique to create several vessels. This is a good exercise in looking at a piece of clay, seeing the negative space, and carving it out to reveal the vessel within.
Pre-Registration is required.
