Beginning Wheel—Form, Function & Fun: A Four Week Intensive
Discover the art of wheel-thrown pottery in this hands-on, four-week course that meets twice a week. Designed for beginners and those looking to refine foundational skills, the focus will be on best practices and basic techniques including centering and shaping forms to create bowls and basic cylinders. Through guided instruction, demonstrations and individual attention, emphasis will be placed on structure, function and surface design. Additional skills include attaching handles, trimming and various glaze techniques.
By the end of the four week session participants will take home several completed works and a solid foundation in working on the pottery wheel. Join master potter Nancy Blair for a creative, fun and productive adventure.

Materials Fee: $30 per bag of clay (cash/check made payable to Indian River Clay)
Class Dates: Tuesdays & Saturdays, March 25, 29 & April 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19

Length of Class: 3 hours per class/ two classes weekly /4-weeks
