INDIAN RIVER CLAY ADMINISTRATOR
This is an opportunity for an energetic, organized, mature and positive person to provide administrative services for 20 hours per week to a dynamic, growing, well-funded, non-profit organization. The Administrator will provide leadership for efficient day-to-day functioning of the studio and support and encourage members, faculty and students. $15 per hour with the possibility of additional teaching hours.
Founded in 2018, Indian River Clay is an inclusive, community-oriented organization open to all those interested in the ceramic arts. Our 50+ members– young and old, novices and professionals- enjoy 24/7 access to our professionally equipped studio. We offer high quality, affordable instruction that starts with the basics and extends to a full offering of master workshops with regionally and nationally known ceramic artists.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Member liaison providing on-boarding and regular communications to members.
- Faculty liaison assuring teachers are informed of and adhere to studio procedures.
- Liaison to assure integration between members, students and faculty.
- Meet and greet visitors providing studio tours and general information. Respond to inquiries.
- Studio oversight to maintain a well-stocked, organized, and safe and healthy facility.
- Maintain detailed records to support accounting and other record-keeping requirements.
- Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, working at special studio and outreach events, organizing and supervising contractor and volunteer work.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Organized, flexible and reliable; ready to independently manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and social media platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build a cohesive team among diverse constituencies
